As a new addition to our lineup, Phone (4b) inherits our signature design language to keep you focused on what matters, while bringing subtle, deliberate refinements to strike a balance between steady utility and playful creativity.

New Features

🎶 New Soundscapes widgets are now available, offering curated ambient audio to help you find your flow: focus, relaxation, or sleep.
🕰️ Added a dynamic clock transition option for select lock screen clock faces to enable smooth animations when waking up or turning off the screen.
📶 Dual network signals are now integrated into a single status bar icon for a cleaner look.

Essential Voice

Essential Voice, a new AI-powered speech-to-text feature, lets you focus on your ideas efficiently. When using the keyboard, start it by tapping the icon, or by long-pressing or double-clicking the Essential key. Key features include:
🎙️ Cleans up transcriptions by filtering out interjections, filler words, and repetitions, while intelligently handling your self-corrections.
🔡 Translates on the fly by detecting your translation intent and inserting the translated text directly.
🗃️ Allows you to store personal phrases, like email addresses, and automatically inserts them when triggered by corresponding speech.
📑 Formats the text automatically by converting speech into structured lists, steps, or bullet points when identifying those contents from the speaker.
⌨️ Supports quickly switching between translation and transcription by long-pressing the icon on the keyboard.

Camera Enhancements

🎨 New Presets: Introduced the India-exclusive 'Cricket' preset and RCB watermark.
🪩 New filters: Introduced new filters, 'Disco' and 'DV', to add a retro, playful vibe to your photos and videos.
📹 Dual-view Video: Introduced a fresh new recording mode, allowing you to record with the front and rear cameras simultaneously to catch every highlight.
🏃 Action mode: Introduced the Action mode for Phone (4b), helping you to capture fast-moving scenes with enhanced stability and vivid details.
🌈 Image Quality: Enhanced overall clarity and colour accuracy for a more natural look.

General Improvements and Bug Fixes

🎚️ Refined the volume slider to allow seamless and more precise adjustment when dragging.
⛔ The DND tile in Quick Settings now supports instantly turning on or off with a single tap.
⛅ Improved Weather widgets' stability across various cases.
⚙️ Enhanced overall system stability.
